About The Project

This project was a true celebration of bespoke craftsmanship and innovative design. The clients wanted a kitchen that would be both highly functional and full of unique character. Our design team responded with a scheme that combined practicality with standout features, resulting in a kitchen that is as striking as it is versatile.

The Design Concept

At the heart of this kitchen lies our signature library ladder system, cleverly incorporated to allow the clients to access the tall cabinetry near the ceiling. Not only is this a practical solution, but it also adds a distinctive design feature that immediately sets the space apart.

The island forms the centrepiece of the room, crafted with a live-edge timber worktop that draws the eye and introduces natural warmth. To provide flexibility, the island was custom-built on discreet castors, giving the clients the freedom to reposition it within the space as needed. This design decision ensures the kitchen adapts seamlessly to everyday living, entertaining, or larger family gatherings.

The island itself was painted in a bespoke colour, Netherton – created exclusively to celebrate our 40th anniversary at West Netherton Street, Kilmarnock. This unique shade provides a rich contrast to the soft, neutral cabinetry and ties the project back to our heritage.

The Result

The finished kitchen is a masterclass in bespoke design. It combines practical innovations with beautiful finishes to create a space that feels personal, warm, and full of character. The moveable island ensures adaptability, while the handcrafted details and exclusive anniversary colour root the project in our design heritage. This is a kitchen that will serve the clients for many years to come –functional, flexible, and truly one of a kind.

The Details

This kitchen combines bold bespoke design with clever practicality. The standout feature is the moveable island, finished in the exclusive Netherton paint colour and topped with a striking live-edge timber worktop that brings warmth and individuality to the space. Built on castors, the island can be repositioned with ease, making it as flexible as it is beautiful. The cabinetry, painted in a soft neutral shade, is paired with brass handles and a run of high-level storage, accessed via the integrated library ladder system – an ingenious solution that doubles as a charming design statement. A blush pink herringbone tiled splashback adds subtle colour and texture, complemented by a brushed brass tap and timber worktops, creating a kitchen that feels both elegant and full of personality.
