About The Project
The brief for this project was to create a kitchen that embodied luxury while maintaining a neutral, timeless aesthetic. The clients were drawn to the principles of modern wabi-sabi, seeking a balance of natural textures, warmth, and understated elegance.
The Design Concept
Our design team selected soft taupe cabinetry frontals, creating a calm and sophisticated foundation for the space. The centrepiece is a statement stone island with a striking, continuous vein – a showstopper that sets the tone for the entire kitchen. To enhance the sense of depth and light, tinted mirrors were introduced, while brushed gold accents in the handles, bar stools, and fixtures add a touch of refinement.
Natural light floods the room through expansive glazing, highlighting the interplay of soft textures and stone finishes. The open layout ensures the island doubles as both a functional workspace and a sociable hub, blending practicality with high design.
The Result
The finished kitchen is a luxurious yet understated space that exudes calm and elegance. The bold veining of the stone island harmonises beautifully with the neutral cabinetry, while gold details elevate the room with a sense of glamour. The integration of tinted mirrors adds depth, reflecting light and creating a sophisticated ambience.
This design not only delivers on the brief but creates a timeless environment – modern, inviting, and effortlessly refined, with a perfect balance of form and function.

This kitchen exudes understated luxury with a neutral, timeless palette that perfectly balances modern wabi-sabi influences. The soft taupe cabinetry provides a warm and calming backdrop, elevated by a striking stone island with bold veining that becomes the centrepiece of the design. Gold accents are woven seamlessly throughout, from the sleek handles to the elegant bar stools, adding richness without overpowering the natural tones. A tinted mirrored splashback enhances the sense of light and depth, while a mix of textures—from the smooth marble-effect surfaces to the vertical wood slats above the sink—introduce subtle layers of sophistication. Integrated appliances, a dedicated wine cooler, and bespoke detailing ensure that functionality is as refined as the aesthetics, resulting in a kitchen that feels both contemporary and enduringly elegant.
