About The Project
This project focused on creating an opulent yet highly practical kitchen space that would balance rich tones with brighter contrasts. The design brief called for a statement kitchen that felt both luxurious and functional, with intelligent storage solutions and carefully selected finishes.
The Design Concept
The kitchen features stunning bronze cabinetry paired with solid brass handles, giving the space a warm, elegant aesthetic. To introduce contrast and vibrancy, a bespoke custom-built mantel was finished in a striking marine blue, instantly brightening the darker tones of the cabinetry. The mantel shelf was crafted in solid metal, echoing the brass handles and reinforcing a cohesive design language.
A hidden pantry was cleverly integrated into the cabinetry, designed by Joanna to maintain the flush, streamlined appearance of the kitchen while delivering practical storage space for everyday essentials. The island was elevated with a Dekton work surface, providing both durability and visual drama. To enhance its impact further, textured, made-to-measure panelling was added to the island base, creating depth and a tactile focal point.
The Result
The finished kitchen delivers a perfect blend of opulence and functionality. The bronze and brass tones exude richness, while the marine blue mantel provides a bold design contrast that enlivens the space. The concealed pantry adds practicality without compromising aesthetics, and the Dekton worktop with textured panelling transforms the island into a centrepiece. Overall, the kitchen balances luxury and usability, offering a timeless yet distinctive design tailored to the client’s needs.
