About The Project
As part of a modern extension to a coastal property in Wemyss Bay, the clients wanted a sociable kitchen that would act as the heart of the home. The design needed to provide a classic yet impactful aesthetic while accommodating a generous dining space to suit family living and entertaining.
The Design Concept
Furniture from the Callerton collection was specified, finished in Nautilus Blue to echo the surrounding seascape. To maintain a bright and uplifting tone, sleek white splashbacks were introduced to enhance light and emphasise simplicity. A bespoke perching area was crafted in the same material as the dining table, creating visual flow between the kitchen and dining zones. Emphasis was placed on functionality, with Siemens appliances seamlessly integrated and a Quooker chrome tap adding instant boiling water capability.
The Result
The completed kitchen achieves a perfect balance of form and function, offering a highly sociable layout anchored by a central island and spacious dining area. The bold blue cabinetry delivers character, while light worktops and splashbacks contribute to a clean and airy atmosphere. The bespoke seating solution enhances the communal feel, making the kitchen a stylish and welcoming environment designed for everyday life and effortless entertaining.
