About The Project
Located in the heart of one of Glasgow’s most sought-after neighbourhoods, this kitchen renovation was conceived as a complete reimagining of a central living space, transforming an outdated layout into a refined, contemporary environment tailored for modern living. The brief called for a sophisticated yet inviting design, with a strong emphasis on material quality, seamless functionality, and premium craftsmanship. To achieve this, the scheme was built around Poggenpohl furniture, known for its precision engineering and timeless aesthetic. Every element—from cabinetry to lighting—was carefully planned to elevate both everyday use and aesthetic pleasure.
The Design Concept
The concept blends sleek modern minimalism with warm, natural finishes to create a balanced and visually striking composition. The Poggenpohl cabinetry, finished in a soft bespoke RAL colour matte blue, introduces a calm, contemporary character, while dark timber accents add depth and grounding. The dramatic stone used for the waterfall island and full-height backsplash becomes the focal point of the space, with its bold veining providing movement and artistry.
Integrated appliances and concealed storage maintain an uncluttered look, while the layered lighting scheme—combining recessed ceiling lights, under-cabinet illumination, and feature pendants—enhances both function and atmosphere.
