About The Project
Subtle design techniques elevated this project into a stunning masterpiece. Black cabinetry was paired with soft brass accents to create an opulent and impactful finish. The matt frontals, alongside the polished taupe work surface, created a striking contrast and a feast for the eyes. Completely black appliances were chosen to demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, seamlessly blending with the cabinetry. Every design decision – from sockets and hardware to the framing of the external door – was carefully curated to achieve a unified aesthetic.
The Design Concept
The central focus of the kitchen was a large island, designed not only as a practical preparation and cooking space but also as a social hub. Its bold scale was enhanced by a polished taupe work surface that offset the depth of the black cabinetry. Black was carried consistently through appliances, sockets, and hardware to ensure visual coherence, while brass handles and tapware softened the overall effect with a touch of luxury. The feature wall with timber detailing and the full-height external door framing were introduced to ground the design, lending texture and warmth to the otherwise sleek and modern finish.
