This striking kitchen blends bold design with everyday functionality. Custom solutions, such as a massive island with seamless stone and an integrated champagne trough, alongside cabinetry carefully constructed around original architectural features – create a space that feels purpose-built and refined. Rich timber textures and dark cabinetry add drama, while expansive glazing ensures the kitchen is bathed in natural light. As part of a full-home renovation, the kitchen was envisioned to perfectly complement modern family living, with every detail tailored to the client’s lifestyle.
The Design Concept
The design concept centred on balancing bold, contemporary features with practical, family-friendly usability. The oversized island was chosen as both a focal point and a hub of activity, finished with uninterrupted stone surfaces for a luxurious, sculptural quality. The addition of an integrated champagne trough underscores the client’s desire for a space that is both social and stylish. Bespoke cabinetry was engineered to respect the property’s architectural character, ensuring storage and appliances integrated seamlessly into the overall scheme. The dramatic pairing of dark cabinetry and timber accents was softened with expansive glazing, creating a connection between indoor elegance and natural outdoor light.
