About The Project
Years of enhancements to their elegant Alloway home culminated in our clients commissioning a kitchen that would embody simplicity while delivering spectacular design. They desired a space that combined luxury with practicality, seamlessly integrating into the home’s refined character.
The Design Concept
The design centres on Callerton furniture, painted in Farrow & Ball Hague Blue, offering depth and richness to the cabinetry. This bold choice was paired with Silestone Calcatta Gold worktops, ensuring a timeless, luxurious finish. Attention to detail was paramount – the bespoke gold Quooker taps and matching gold cabinet handles add refined highlights, balancing practicality with elegance.
To maintain a streamlined look, Miele’s Obsidian Black handleless cooking appliances were chosen, removing the visual intrusion of stainless steel. The addition of crossed-effect glass wall units created reflective charm and visual lightness, elevating the kitchen’s aesthetic.
The Result
The final kitchen strikes the perfect balance between understated simplicity and elevated exclusivity. The rich blue cabinetry contrasts beautifully with the warm tones of gold hardware, while the Calcatta Gold worktops provide a striking yet harmonious centrepiece. Natural light enhances the reflective surfaces and finishes, making the kitchen feel both expansive and inviting. With a seamless flow into the utility area, every element has been carefully considered, creating a cohesive and enduringly elegant heart of the home.
The Details
These details of the kitchen highlight the flawless integration of premium appliances into the overall design. A sleek Miele hob is inset into the white worktop, offering both gas and induction options for flexible cooking. Its black glass surface creates a seamless continuation of the kitchen’s refined aesthetic, while the robust cast-iron supports ensure durability. Complementing the hob are the built-in Miele ovens, finished in Obsidian Black glass, which harmonise effortlessly with the cabinetry. The tall units, painted in Farrow & Ball Hague Blue and dressed with elegant gold handles, frame the appliances to perfection, ensuring they sit flush and unobtrusive. Together, these appliances enhance both the practicality and the luxury of the kitchen, aligning beautifully with the wider design’s balance of function and sophistication.
