Design. Build. Coordination. Aftercare.
Most companies offer one of these. We offer all four, under one roof.
What a Media Wall Means at J.S. Geddes
A J.S. Geddes media wall starts with your room, not a product catalogue. Our award-winning designers create it for your specific space. We manage every trade through to completion, and back it all with aftercare that doesn’t stop after installation.

“From start to finish, we were absolutely impressed with the attention to detail and professionalism that J.S. Geddes provided. Every aspect of our kitchen renovation was handled with care, from the initial consultation to the final touches. The team listened to our needs and offered expert advice, ensuring everything was designed to perfection. I could not recommend them highly enough!”

Our Process: From First Conversation to Finished Room

1. Complimentary Design Consultation
Every project starts with a conversation with one of our expert designers. They’ll ask how you use the room, what you want it to do, and what you don’t want. The initial design comes from that conversation, not before it.

2. A Full Specification Before Anything Is Ordered
Our designers produce a drawn-to-scale proposal with every decision documented before anything is ordered. We use Poggenpohl and our own Geddes Collection. Both are made to a standard you’ll still notice in ten years.

3. We Manage Every Trade. You Manage Nothing.
Our project manager, Michael, coordinates every trade — electricians, plasterers, decorators — so you don’t have to. One point of contact, start to finish.

4. Aftercare Without an End Date
Every J.S. Geddes installation comes with aftercare as standard. If something needs attention after the fitters leave, we return. Your investment is protected long after it’s installed.
Why Choose J.S. Geddes for Your Media Wall?
Other companies will fit a media wall. Some of them will do it well.
What they won’t do is design it — for your room, your proportions, your standard. They won’t give you a dedicated designer and a dedicated project manager. They won’t build it with German-engineered cabinetry. And they won’t still be answering the phone three years later.
J.S. Geddes has 40 years of bespoke cabinet-making expertise behind every project we take on. Our fitters are in-house and long-tenured. Eight independent UK industry panels have found our work to be the best in the country.
That’s the difference.

Quick Answers
A bespoke media wall is a feature wall designed and built specifically for your room — the kind of work that separates a media wall designer from a media wall installer. Your television, storage, fireplace, lighting and cabinetry are seamlessly integrated into a single fitted piece — drawn to scale, built to measure, and finished to work within your home’s interior rather than sit in front of it. Every element is specified for your space. Our bespoke designs are never off the shelf — and never repeated.
Not when it’s designed properly. A well-proportioned media wall draws the eye and creates a sense of order, enhancing the perception of space rather than reducing it. Our designers consider ceiling height, wall width and room depth at the design stage, specifically to avoid this.
No. We’ve been designing bespoke living areas, including media walls, fitted joinery, home bars and games rooms, for 40 years. The same skills that produce an award-winning kitchen apply directly to transform your living space — spatial thinking, precision cabinetry, multi-trade project management and long-term aftercare.
A one-day installation gives you a unit on a wall that is pre-configured, assembled on the day, and competent within its limits. A bespoke media wall gives you a focal point which is designed for your specific room, its dimensions, its light and its proportions. It’s built from cabinetry that holds its standard over years of daily use, with full project management and aftercare included. The price difference is real. So is the difference in outcome.
Michael, our project manager, runs all aspects of the project from design sign-off to final installation. He coordinates every trade, sequences the work, and is your single point of contact throughout. You won’t be chasing contractors or resolving problems between trades. Michael handles it.
As closely as you want to be. Our designers work closely with every client throughout the design stage — sharing drawings, discussing options and refining the proposal until it reflects exactly what you’re looking for. You are never handed a finished design and asked to approve it.
We stay available. Every project includes aftercare — if something needs attention after the fitters leave, we return. No call-out fees within a reasonable period, no chasing. One point of contact, for the life of the installation.
We build with Poggenpohl and our own Geddes Collection — both German-engineered and built to tolerances that hold up over time. The difference isn’t always obvious on installation day. It shows at year five and year ten, in the reveals, the surfaces and the drawers. Clients still living with our installations a decade later are the proof.
Every commission is priced individually, because every commission is different. During your consultation, we’ll discuss your brief, your budget and what’s genuinely achievable within it. We won’t give you a number before we understand your room.
That’s exactly what the initial consultation is for. Our designers are experienced at drawing a clear vision out of an unclear brief — using reference images, room dimensions and conversation to identify what you’re looking for, even when you don’t yet have the words for it.
Yes — and we’d encourage it. Visit our Ayrshire showroom to see the quality behind our media wall services in person — the cabinetry, the finishes, the detail that photographs don’t capture. No photograph does it justice. Our team can also walk you through completed client projects during your consultation.
Three reasons.
First, the specification: every material, finish and dimension is documented before anything is ordered. No surprises on installation day.
Second, the installation: Michael manages every trade to ensure the built result is delivered to the highest standard, exactly as designed.
Third, the record: eight independent UK industry panels have found our work to be the best in the country.
